"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Ever do any WWII era pinup gals with classic vintage guitars? Vox and Gretsch have done just a bit in the last few years and it looks great. It somehow comes across as "the sexy girl you want to meet your folks - as long as she doesn't wear any less than now," as opposed to the more modern, biker-chick with flying-V metal guitar that screams "the girl I need to hide in the closet when my folks knock on my door, whilst I hastily tear the red gag-ball from my face."
